As Promised here are some of the cards I have been working on. It seems really odd to post Christmas before Halloween, however, thats what was asked of me. So I had written off card making because I thought it was stupid and a COMPLETE waste of time. Hmmmmm turns out I was wrong. Yes folks feel free to write it on the calendar, I was wrong. I don't think I would do cards on a regular basis. The Christmas card were really fun, probably because you can do so much with them. On Most of my cards I used a border punch in a variety of ways and also used stamps and colored them with Copic markers. I really enjoyed making my cards this time around, I guess my lesson this time is to not be so quick to Judge! To many times people in general tend to judge really quickly, I too am guilty of that very action. I will try my best to look at Every thing in life as an opportunity and keep an open mind. Happy Scrappin!

Ok, so I have discovered that summer is actually my buisest time of the year! We are always camping or gallivanting across the country side, and only when wok, farmers market and lazing in the pool don't get in the way. Fall tends to be when we settle back into a routine. we have set times and days we need to do things and it seems we have more time. which is good I need a rest. Summer was very good right up until my purse was stolen ( Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr ). the hassel it creates is unbelivable! can't get ID replaced with out proper ID, which was STOLEN!! It turns out this has been a big life lesson for my self and others. Mine was don't listen to others so readly, and to be more aware of my surroundings (including people in it). My next mission will be the dreaded card making. This time however I am looking forward to a new challenge. Plus they are Christmas Cards. Can't wait. I will post pics as soon as I am started.
Later and Happy Fall!

I also have my hubbys reunion in less then a week. yes you guessed it, I get to help put it all together. Can't wait to see everyone. the Raye is off to camp for three days, then we are off to BC for a couple of days. I think I am going to brave Zip lining. EEEEEEEK hope I survive, till then Happy Scrapin.

Black Magic Paper and Tonic Punch Border system.

These pics show the Black Magic Paper and Tonic's Border punch tool. I have also included a pic of a layout with oth Blak Magic and tonic border. I absolutly LOVE the Border system. in keeps everything in line while creating a touch of personal flare. Plus you can still collect the puch shapes for a great accent. The Black Magic paper also can help dress up any layout with minimal work. I can't wait to start my next project. Happy Scrappin.

Things aren't always as they seem.

Happy Sunmmer! Kinda! It pretends to be warm once in a while so that should count. This month the kit I recieved contained some Black Magic paper. I was not sure about it until I opened the pack and started to play. (I hope to have pics soon).I was really surprised and happy with it. I guess it leads to the saying, never judge a book by its cover. One of my fav quotes. I often try not to judge whatever it ay be. You never know what events led up to the situation, or how much a person has dealt with, so I try my best not to judge. Plus I think i was bit by a very adorable puppy(that was really not adorable after all). So again I will look at my kit with a happy face and enjoy as always. If you happen to see the Black Magic paper, pick some up, you will be pleasantly surprised. I will try to post pics of the kit later this week, until then happy summer (almost) and enjoy.

So, again it has taken me forever to catch up on my blog. This time it was because of another hectic dance weekend and a vist from family. We just had our final dance recital for the year. Yeah a long awaited break. I will miss all the moms ands teachers, but not all the running. Also Raye's grandparent flew from Ont. to come watch the recital. They said the whole show was exceptional and well worht the trip. So of course scrap booking has fallen to the way side for a couple of weeks:(. however i hope to jump back in with both feet in the next few days. that and my garden are my next two priorities. hope every one else is well, and late regardes to Michelle hope everything is starting to look up for you, and my prayers are with you.

This set of pics is showing off a 6 X 12 that I did. I have never done a 6 X 12 and did not think I would like it. It is a nice easy project to do. I also had to show off my handy work using the Copic markers. these markers anre the cats behind as far as I am concerned. Worth every penny! I was happy to sit and scrapbook today, it has been the first break i have had in nearly a month. Nothing but Dance Dance Dance!! I love seeing how happy Dance makes raye, but not the early mornings.

I had bought a new stamp the other day but was really to busy to try it out right away. So I tossed it onto my Desk and sorta forgot about it. Shortly afterward I was sorting thru photos to use with some of the page kits I recieved for IT. I came across some photos I had taken at a Build-A-Bear Party for Raye's best friend. The colors in the photos were a perfect fit for one of the page kits. I had been dying to scrap these photos for a while so the layout came together pretty easy. Except I kept coming up with a "blank" space on the page. Just as I was about to give up,, I spotted my new stamp. I felt the dragon on the stamp matched the Hippo Raye made at Build-A-Bear, so I started to stamp and color and voila! It all came together and my new stamp was a perfect fit .

opps I think we killed her!

One of the 8 rinks we built
Raye helping out
Ok so I have not posted in a while, but I do have a good reason. ( it is also my reason for not calling friends or family). Abbout 4 months ago 4 of us were asked to put toghether a pond hockey tourny. So we said yes. Hmmmmmmm, hindsight says "not so smart". We had to build 8 rinks (140 X 80) on the lake. this consited of 8 men 2 children and myself. After sevral cups of tim's and a cold afternoon we got it done. We planed built and put together a tourny that brought 18 teams to Alix to play on the lake for the day. We estimated having over 1500 hundred people on the ice at any given time. Everyone enjoyed the dat and we are still recieving many thanks and praise for a job well done. We have also recieved many emails to say " thanks we enjoyed the day and hope to do it again". So now I plan to get back to Scrapbooking, and hopefully posting on time.

Ok, Week 2, so far so good. I think I am getting the hang of things. Still not sure how to add links to other blogs yet. So as promised here is a look at some of what I have done so far. Also a pic from Christmas. This past week has been pretty good (minus the bad news). My darling husband was sent for a gift certificate ( from Pages In Time) for my helper. It was her 16th birthday. And he came home with a present for me!! It was a new cd for my Pazzels Inspriation cutter. The CD is the paper lace designs. Wow is it ever nice, and yes I used it in my mini book already. I hope to have pics of it later, for now everyone will have to go to Pages in Time at the end of the month to see it. Well thats all for this week, I now have a sick child to take care of ( on top of my sinus infection). When it rains it pours!

YES YES YES I did it. I finally uploaded a picture! Ok this pic is my DT kit for the month. (I am currently on a design team with Pages In Time , Stettler Alberta). I spoke with Stacey ( our fearless leader) before opening my kit, she had made a comment on how I tend to put purple with everything. It's my favorite color, anyway when I opened my kit there was purple on just about everything! :). So my goal is to hopefully post my progress of my kit week to week. Although this morning we are not off to a good start, Rick's uncle passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. So I am off to be with my wonderful husband.
